How My Disabled Husband's Secret Starts

The opening of My Disabled Husband's Secret puts the audience inside the damage before anyone has time to explain it away.

Everyone laughs at her for being money-grubbing and mocks him for being a cripple, waiting to see their marriage fall apart. But Luna Bennett has been protecting her husband every step of the way, slapping the faces of the sneering relatives, and turning her fortunes around by making money with her pig-farming skills.

It isn't until the conspiracy of the second branch of the family is exposed and Ethan Carter rises to his feet once more that she finally realizes — this man was never a cripple, and the two of them had long since grown from a mere transaction into a real husband and wife. Luna Bennett, a country girl who raises pigs, takes a two-million-yuan bride price to save her mother and keep the pig farm, marrying Ethan Carter — the heir of a wealthy family who has been paralyzed for three years since a car crash.

That is the spine of My Disabled Husband's Secret: the people in the synopsis do not get to pretend the story started somewhere else.
