Oops, the Hocky Captain is Obsessed: What the Story Is Really About

Oops, the Hocky Captain is Obsessed does not waste time on a gentle setup. The premise is the plot.

For Avery, the ice rink was a place of solitude, and the university hockey team was just a group of loud, arrogant jocks she preferred to avoid. Especially Jaxson Reed—the captain, the campus golden boy, and the man whose ego was as massive as his fan base.

Avery had one rule: keep her head down and finish her degree without getting entangled with the team. But when a chance encounter in the locker room—involving a misplaced jersey and a very incriminating secret—forces them into a fake dating arrangement, her rulebook goes out the window.

That is the spine of Oops, the Hocky Captain is Obsessed: the people in the synopsis do not get to pretend the story started somewhere else.
