The Relationships The Shepherdess's Comeback Puts Under Pressure

Family, marriage, and old loyalty are not the background of The Shepherdess's Comeback. They are the trap.

Clara Bennett spends three years scraping by raising sheep to fund her husband Lucas Wilson’s college education, only to be cruelly discarded by him once he lands a stable cityoffice job. Her sharpwitted daughter Mia Carter forces her mother to sign divorce papers and boldly proposes her mother to veteran sheepfarmer Eliot Miller, who has long loved Clara; rebuilding from ruin, Clara builds a thriving countyleading breeding enterprise, while her exhusband sinks into a miserable deadend life consumed by bitter regret.

That is the spine of The Shepherdess's Comeback: the people in the synopsis do not get to pretend the story started somewhere else.
