Why Dragon Queen's Fated Bride Lingers

After the last reversal, Dragon Queen's Fated Bride still leaves the original choice sitting in the room.

Vampire Queen Sloane Voss has waited twenty years for the girl who once saved her life. At her arranged engagement banquet, she encounters a temp server named Nora Reed, whose Heartglass bracelet reacts to her Bloodstone.

As Sloane fights to protect Nora and uncover her lost identity, the two women expose a twenty-year conspiracy, reclaim Nora's true name as Evelyn Ashbourne, defeat the impostor Isla Mercer and the power broker Malcolm Mercer, and ultimately rewrite the old vampire laws to legitimize their same-sex Blood Bond and their dual-bloodline daughter, Nova. Vampire Queen Sloane Voss has waited twenty years for the girl who once saved her life.

That is the spine of Dragon Queen's Fated Bride: the people in the synopsis do not get to pretend the story started somewhere else.
