The Person at the Center of The Downfall of the Fake Fiancée

Every turn in The Downfall of the Fake Fiancée lands on the same person, and the synopsis makes clear why they cannot step aside.

When Caleb Grant returns and finds his mother nowhere to be seen, he flies into a rage and swears to find her at all costs! Martha Grant comes home early on purpose to attend her son Caleb Grant's engagement party.

However, her son’s fiancée Zara Bennett mistakes her for Caleb Grant’s mistress, leaving Martha Grant publicly humiliated and verbally abused. When Caleb Grant returns and finds his mother nowhere to be seen, he flies into a rage and swears to find her at all costs!

That is the spine of The Downfall of the Fake Fiancée: the people in the synopsis do not get to pretend the story started somewhere else.
